Hungarian language learning scholarship 

We are excited to announce a pre-conference briefing on a major scholarship opportunity from Hungary, at our Marketing Conference on Friday 7 February.

Dr Timea Tiboldi and Director Zoltan Rasz will introduce the Language Learning Scholarship Programme, launched by the Hungarian Government in 2019 and managed by Tempus Public Foundation. This programme will enable thousands of Hungarian students travel abroad for language courses. This briefing this will introduce theoretical and practical issues for accessing the programme.

Due to the late addition to the programme, this will be a pre-conference briefing, starting at 09:15 to 09:45. 

If you cannot change your travel plans, Timea and Zoltan will be at the conference during the day to discuss the opportunity. We will also record the session and share it with all English UK members after the event - but if you would like to join us there are still places available.

The Marketing Conference has a varied programme of practical tips to help you build a more effective online presence and make sure your sales trips are productive, as well as two inspirational plenaries and sessions on the future direction of UK ELT.

Hungarian language learning scholarship and the scholarship management platform

This brief talk will introduce participants to the Language Learning Scholarship Programme, launched by the Hungarian Government in 2019 and managed by Tempus Public Foundation.

Tempus Public Foundation, the National Agency for Erasmus and other mobility programmes, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Human Capacities in Hungary, has been appointed by the Hungarian Government to implement a language learning scholarship programme. In this short talk we will discuss the theoretical and practical issues regarding the programme.

Timea Tiboldi is the Head of Language Learning Unit of Tempus Public Foundation. She has 25 years of teaching experience at Eötvös Lorand University Budapest. Her interest is: methodology of language teaching, ESP (English for Specific Purposes, mainly EU English and English for Diplomacy and academic writing). 

Zoltán Rácz is a senior coordinator at the Language Learning Unit of Tempus Public Foundation. He is an experienced teacher and familiar with distance learning and Learning Management Systems. He created the specifications for the development of the application platform for language centres.
